Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Intimate Wedding | J + S

bride and groom exit wedding

Jenna and Shane’s intimate wedding was one for the BOOKS! They chose the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse in Wildwood, New Jersey for their Intimate Wedding for a few reasons. For one, their love story was cemented in Wildwood, NJ. They were engaged in Wildwood the year before and knew they wanted to exchange vows there too. Plus, Wildwood is a family favorite so when Jenna and Shane were scoping out their favorite places along the shore, they came to the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and knew it was the place for their nuptials (Cue “This Must be The Place” by The Talking Heads).

Jenna and Shane met at the gym a few years ago when neither of them were looking for anything more than a good workout. They kept noticing one another though, so eventually connected and went on a date! The rest, as they say, is history.

Jenna and Shane knew they wanted to keep things small and simple for their wedding. They decided early on to invite family only which made it easy when it came to their guest list. Jenna and Shane have incredible friends but they knew by keeping their guest list tight, they could focus their wedding day on the joining of their families.

Jenna’s mom officiated their ceremony and made sure they took a moment to look around at the love that surrounded them. It was a moment that moved all of us to tears. After they shared their first kiss and walked up the aisle, we took family photos and a big group photo of everyone gathered! Then Jenna, Shane, and I went down to the beach for their sunset newlywed portraits while their family went to Mud Hen Brewing Co. to kick off the celebrations.

If there’s one thing to remember while planning your wedding, and something 2020 has solidified for us, it’s to do it your way. Your way will be perfect and your people will love and support you the whole way. Congratulations, Jenna and Shane! Wishing you two countless years of happiness and love!
